Free resort worker lessons

Afternoons from Sunday to Wednesday. Spread the word. Such good marketing in town.

Brochure drop

Thursday / Friday. Lets do another spin round town with brochures and ski guides before the RW lessons. Good chance to invite hotel staff etc.

Communication

WhatsApp groups seem to be working well. The important update group is getting less random traffic so hopefully nobody feels the need to mute it (giving a message a response, thumbs up etc, does not notify everyone in the group).

WhatsApp team chat group is also working well and full of useful info etc.

Facebook seems to have died.

Spond seems to work for training (CoachNow also good for those engaging).

Training this week

One or two sessions don’t have 3 people yet. If you’re intending to go, sign up. They’ll be cancelled otherwise.

Next week: More technical training. Also one session as intro to ski touring / avi equipment (prep for Mountain Safety course) and one session as higher level tranciever searches and snow pit digging.

Uniform

One or two are starting to look grubby. Put them in the wash before they get too dirty (otherwise they never come up clean. Let’s make sure we’re all looking sparkly!

Anyone who’s borrowed uniform from the office, please drop it back in. The spare stuff is becoming limited.

We’re going to Grächen on Saturday. The sun terrace of the Wallis and home to the famous snow biking!

Meet on Saturday:
Urania parking at 0730
Hotel Elite at 0740
Randa station at 0745
Plan to ski the whole area. 2 groups for Snowbiking (0900 and 1130), lunch on the hill at 2pm. Ski back to town. Apres ski beer or two and minibuses back to Z.
No uniform.

I am a nervous skier at the best of times but after a 3 year hiatus and having never skied in Zermatt I was extra anxious. Alex was calm, patient and encouraging. Alex provided positive reinforcement every step of the way and was flexible and responsive to my learning needs. I booked Alex for 2 sessions and gained so much out of both.
