Awesome efforts from everyone in training. We’re basically done now and we’re very impressed with everyone. Special thanks to the guys providing sessions so it’s not just H and P banging on day after day.

This seems to have worked as we’d hoped. Saved us presenting the handbook when we’d rather be skiing. Means the same message can go to all (new) Summit instructors and we all know exactly what’s been said. We’re happy to have any feedback on the online training. If you’d rather have the information presented differently or you think there’s content we could add, please just let us know.

We would just like to reiterate a couple of the things in the online training and point out how important they are to us.

Firstly punctuality. Our 5 minutes early rule is not just a suggestion. It’s what we expect from every instructor for every lesson. A combination of almost no work during the COVID year followed by our busiest season ever last year meant the previous Summit standards may not have been upheld so rigorously as before.

The 850 train for 9am lessons does not cut it, a big queue so you didn’t get to Furi on time is not an excuse.

If you’re late for a lesson, we’ll have a meeting, you’ll get a warning. If it happens again, you’ll no longer be working for Summit. We’d hate to lose any of you. Please don’t be late.

Secondly uniform. Please look after it, wear it well, don’t après in the pants, don’t walk the dog in it, and don’t freeski in it if you are not working. Wear it well and take pride in it.

We mentioned this in training a couple of times. If you aren’t spending money in restaurants, please don’t hang out inside. Even if it’s not busy or you’re with people that are buying coffee etc. It’s not a good impression to assume we can use their facilities for free.

We’d like to invite you to Restaurant Stockhorn downstairs, we have the bar area for a private party at 6pm on the 20^th. We’ll be dressing up smart. That or Christmas jumpers?

Everyone takes a name out the hat. Bring your secret Santa gift to the Xmas drinks on the 15th. Max 25chf.

There’s plenty of skiing we’ve not been able to do so far. As things open, be sure to ski them and do check out the restaurant locations whenever you can.

I have never snowboarded before and this was honestly the perfect lesson! Brittany was so patient, so kind, and just all around amazing! She made being out there so much fun and exciting to learn!
